     This model is named after the late, River Phoenix who portrayed a young Indy in The Last Crusade. It is based off  the whip used in the train car scene when Phoenix fends off a lion. It is built with a nylon core, a 4 plait belly, an 8 plait belly, a 12 plait belly, ending in a 16 plait overlay. The Phoenix Indy features an 8 inch steel handle with a Diamond/Checkerboard overlay in Red; The rest of the whip is done in black. The heel is covered  with a 5 x 4, 3 pass Turk's head knot, and the transition is done in a 5 x 4, 2 pass knot. Each whip comes with a spare fall and 5 crackers.
